does not notice odors that others usually complain about

fails to notice or ignores unpleasant odors

C. Sensory Seeking olfactory stimuli

• Excessively uses the sense of smelling when introduced to objects, people or places

• Uses smell to interact with objects

• Seeks strong odors

Treatment involves developing a sensory diet and environmental modifications.

Please note that the official treatment is really not a treatment at all, it is creating a nutritional diet that doesn’t smell bad to the client and removing/avoiding offending scents in their environments.
This is what I do to cope:
I do not eat anything that smells bad to me
I do not cook anything that smells bad to me
I do not allow anything that smells bad to me to be cooked in my home (my husband loves liver but that makes me seriously sick for more reasons than just the smell.  If he absolutely craves it he will go out to a restaurant and eat it.  When he gets home he uses parsley along with dental hygiene to eliminate the smell from his mouth.  Liver never enters my home.)

Bathroom odours cannot be eliminated but they can be prevented from spreading throughout the entire house.  The fan must be on, the door must be closed and a very effective odour eliminator must be used (we use Lysol, cinnamon scented oils and Febreze). Febreze

Even the sprays must not be heavily perfumed for it is equally sickening to me.  Also, if I am downstairs, he will use the upstairs bathroom.  If I am upstairs, he will go downstairs.
He is a dear heart my husband:)  He loves me still even though I often tell him he smells bad LOL
I almost never go to other people’s homes.
I hold a scarf up close to my nose when I take crowded public transit.  I appear to be less of a freak and I feel less strange that way (rather than wearing a Michael Jackson type mask LOL).

play and give

This is my first experience with an online game and I am loving it!  The ONLY attraction for me was the ability to influence how much was sent to the charitable organizations that are helping the children.

My added bonus is I am able to use some very basic time management skills, something that has eluded me for decades LOL

So far I am still have fun “giving” while I play:)  I’m a little less obsessed and learning how to manage my crops, like which ones to plant (influenced by how much time I want to be spending in front of my computer), which houses give me the most JOY points which in turn allow me to give to the following:

22 times to Haiti Hot Meal program which provides hot meals for the children,

22 times to the Haiti Flamand School program (which is helping buildON build schools,

10 times to the Haiti Library Books which helps Save the Children provide textbooks,

13 times to the U.S. Homeless Children CARE which helps children’s health fund provide medical care to homeless children,

5 times to the U.S Literacy Program which helps Save the Children provide young readers tools they need to succeed.

I have also been able to send clean drinking water (I cannot seem to remember how many times nor can I find where that info is stored in my account).  Oh well, no matter, the important thing is clean water is being sent:)

Now I am waiting for the Haiti Medicines to open up for me so I can contribute to that one.
