Happy ones! Few and far between, in time and distance!
I love my family; in small doses. "Measured in years since I've seen them" is usually the best kind of get together.
I use Facebook to keep in touch with their everyday lives.
Every day, in person visits is not desirable to me. Routines quickly become obligations. Boring for me and for them:) I get bogged down in their "issues", absorb their dissatisfaction and unhappiness. Large reunions are pleasurable, everyone is happy to see everyone, lots of laughing and singing for a couple of days brings out the best of us.
