How Can We Save More Seabirds? Foraging Pattern Analysis is Key : TreeHugger
This is a puffin…looks like a mini penguin but can fly. We have a whole island dedicated to them in the Bay of Fundy and see them flying around all the time there!
So cute!!!

17 days later
Here we are, 17 days into the new year.
I have a few projects that have been started and are ongoing.
Still knitting the infinity scarf and need to addfix the insignia on the slouchy hat that I made to match.
Ghost tree painting almost finished…I still have to fine tune the moon that I added.
Happiness board is made, yet I’ve still haven’t added any “happiness” goals to it.
Started a painting with oil pastels and intend to use acrylics on it as well.
Added some organization aids to my desk. I used 8 bins/slots whatever they are really called left over from my husbands endless supply of work office stuff that he brought me (and he mounted these same thingys to the sides of my desk to my specifications), some blue sparkly stick-on letters from the dollar store.
Total cost $2.14 for two sets of stick-on letters to label the bins. The labels on the bins were determined by me using all the crap that accumulates everywhere in my living room, dining room and front entrance.
All those things came to 8 different actions to dispose of them in some way. This seemed the most logical to my mind, since I am the one that usually gets incredibly annoyed with all the paper that plagues my existence.
My annoyance, my solution.
End of discussion. Deal with it and by all means, USE IT!!!
The desk organization project is still not complete…I need to go through the drawers, add some kind of colour for the surface of the desk and anything else that will occur to me while I am contemplating working on it.
I have to get the wood filler, fill all the lines in the coffee table, sand it, then strip it, then stain it grey.
I have a brand new jigsaw puzzle still calling out to me to open it since last July.
I have a watercolour to be worked on for 2 years now.
I have to redo my bedroom…of sorts. This morning I actually locked myself into the room while changing, got distracted while in there and changed the room around quite a bit. Now it truly needs deep cleaning and my closet needs be re-organizing (I have shelves in it for my sweaters and stuff, but I just stuff my stuff where ever it happens to fit and end up with a mess and a half).
I have a DIY project on the go for my own telephone/address book idea. I’ve got the supplies I need. I have made the template. I have used the template, up to D. I think D is complete. I’m not sure. I’ll have to check.
I am reading Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami. I also have 4 more of his books on my coffee table to be read.
Oh well. Story of my life.
I would also like to get these floors washed. I’ve vacuumed and swept numerous times with the intention of washing them…because it takes so long to vacuum and/or sweep I get distracted and never get around to actually washing them.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it:)
OK. I will admit to having a few more than a few projects on the go.
Keep in mind that I get up at approximately 4:30 AM every day, and go to bed at 11:00 PM, every single day.
I flit from thing to thing during my days. And in between all of that I read all of the newsletters I subscribe to, blog on this blog, I am also on Pinterest
and I am sort of working on a book. Which I keep changing. Which I keep hidden from everyone. Sometimes even myself. It’s a pipe dream. But a nice one. One that makes me smile to myself every time I open it, read it and fool with it.
